3. Silica Gel Drying for Better Shape
If you want your sunflower to keep its natural form and bright color, silica gel drying is an excellent option. Fill a container with silica gel crystals and gently bury the flower head inside. Cover the petals carefully and seal the container.
After about a week, remove the flower and brush away the crystals. This method dries flowers quickly and helps them maintain a lifelike appearance. Preserved sunflowers from silica gel drying work wonderfully in shadow boxes or floral displays.
