7. Gladiolus for Elegant Cut Flowers

Gladiolus is known for tall flower spikes filled with dramatic blossoms that open one by one from bottom to top. They come in nearly every color imaginable, from soft pastels to bold tropical tones.

These flowers are excellent for cutting gardens because they last beautifully in vases. Plant gladiolus bulbs in batches every two weeks for continuous blooms throughout the season. Use them to create vertical interest in borders or to brighten dull corners.
